ReelEstate

Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

This policy explains what information ReelEstate (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our app to turn property photos into videos, carousels and reels, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

If you have any questions, or want to exercise any of the rights described below, email us at maxwinterleinweber@gmail.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up we collect your email address and a password. Your password is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text. We derive a display name from your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.

Content you add

  • Properties: the names and addresses you give your properties.
  • Photos: the property photos you upload, together with their file name, type, size and dimensions.
  • Branding: the logos and cards you upload and the branding choices you save.
  • Captions and edits: the captions, crops, trims, orderings and other settings for your carousels and reels.

Photos are stored as you upload them. Photos taken on a phone or camera can contain embedded metadata, such as the date and the location where they were taken. If you do not want that stored, remove it before uploading.

Content we generate for you

The video clips, carousels, reels and export files (such as ZIP and PDF files) we create from your content, along with details about each generation such as the AI model used.

Address searches

When you type an address into the property form, what you type is sent to Google to suggest matching addresses, and we store the identifier of the place you pick.

Technical information

Like most online services, our hosting and authentication providers process technical information when you use the app, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time and nature of each request. This is used to run, secure and troubleshoot the service. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
  • To verify your email address, including by sending you a one-time code.
  • To store your content and produce the clips, carousels, reels and exports you ask for.
  • To look up and fill in property addresses.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To contact you about your account, the service or changes to our terms, and to reply when you contact us.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or other content to train AI models.

3. Legal bases

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: most processing is needed to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and improving how it works, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose information by law.
  • Consent: where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run ReelEstate, and only as far as they need it to do so:

  • Neon: hosts our database and file storage, provides sign-in, and sends email verification codes.
  • Vercel: hosts the app.
  • fal.ai: runs the AI models that turn your photos into video clips. Each photo you choose is shared through a link that expires after about a day, along with a description of the camera move. The models fal runs for us include ones from MiniMax and Kling (Kuaishou).
  • Google: provides “Sign in with Google” and address suggestions (Google Maps Places).

Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you.

When you download an export and post it to a social platform such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest or YouTube, that platform’s own privacy policy applies to what you post.

5. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only cookies and browser storage that the app needs to work or that remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

  • Sign-in cookies keep you logged in securely.
  • Preference cookies remember whether the sidebar is open (for 7 days) and whether you prefer grid or list views (for 1 year).
  • Browser storage remembers your theme and the last platform you picked for a carousel or reel, and tracks exports while they are in progress. This stays in your browser.

You can clear cookies and browser storage at any time in your browser settings, but you will be signed out and your preferences will reset.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is open. When you delete a photo, clip, carousel, reel or brand asset, we delete it and its files from our storage. When you make a new export, the previous export files are replaced. Links we create to let you or our providers download files expire after a few hours (about a day for AI generation).

To close your account and delete your data, email maxwinterleinweber@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. We will delete your account and content within 30 days, except where we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. Copies held by our providers, such as backups and logs, are removed on their own schedules.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • have your information deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive a copy of it in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these rights, email maxwinterleinweber@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, though we would appreciate the chance to help first.

9. Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, private file storage and short-lived download links. No service can guarantee complete security, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

10. Children

ReelEstate is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. People in your photos

If your photos include other people, or information about sellers, tenants or other third parties, you are responsible for having the right to upload and use it. If you are one of those people and have a concern, contact us at maxwinterleinweber@gmail.com.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top when we do, and if the changes are significant we will let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.

13. Contact us
